With paying for school, rent, food, shopping, etc., it can be hard to have money for entertainment purposes. However, it is possible to have a great night out for under $20!
First Friday’s is an art walk event downtown held on the first Friday of every month. You can start the night at the Phoenix Art Museum, where you get free admission. There, you can view all of the wonderful art exhibits, and when you’re done, pick up a map for the rest of the art walk. Then, you follow the map further downtown where they have the event set up. There are venders selling homemade items like jewelry and art. Most of the studios and shops open their doors for First Friday’s too, so there is something else to look at if art is not your thing. After spending hours walking downtown and exploring shops, you will be hungry! For dinner, there are many yummy options. At First Friday’s they have inexpensive, delicious food trucks with anything you could want. If you are not into food trucks, there is a great place called Two Hippie’s Beach House on 501 E Camelback Rd that serve great, inexpensive food with a unique atmosphere.
As you can see, it is very possible to have a fun night out on a budget!
