It’s already September! Summer flew by and we’ve started a new school year. Soon the weather will cool down (one can only hope!) and before long, autumn and holiday décor will pop up everywhere. Summer 2011 will be a memory as we turn our thoughts to our studies and class assignments.
September, traditionally the month we renew our focus on school, invites us to start fresh and commit to doing well in class. It’s a time mixed with expectation and perhaps a little anxiety, but our education is always a journey that broadens our horizons. It expands our knowledge, improves our critical thinking skills, provides job training and helps us meet the goals we dare to dream such as earning a degree and pursuing a fulfilling career.
To help turn your dream of finishing college into a reality, Glendale Community College and Northern Arizona University work in partnership to provide full bachelor degree programs here on the GCC campus. After you complete your associate program, NAU offers the classes you need to complete your bachelor degree while staying on this campus. Plus, we make it affordable and convenient. High transfer allowances, full-time NAU staff, low tuition, evening courses, and 7-week terms make obtaining your bachelor degree at Glendale Community College practical, doable and accessible.
Soon, you will notice banners on the light poles around campus that say “Keep Learning without Leaving.” They will be there to remind you that you don’t have to move away or change campuses to finish your 4-year degree. You can stay at GCC to earn your bachelor degree.
NAU offers these bachelor programs at GCC:
- Bachelor of Science in Education, Elementary Education
- Bachelor of Science, Communication Studies
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies in Public Management
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies in Administration of Justice
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies in Emergency Services Administration
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies in Technology Management
- Bachelor of Applied Science, Administration
Many of these programs allow you to transfer in up to 90 community college credits. That means you only need 10 additional classes from NAU to complete your bachelor’s degree. You pay the low community college cost for the majority of your program. When you do pay NAU’s tuition, it’s hundreds less per credit than nearly any other university in Arizona or the nation.
